I’m interviewing Helen Joyce and Maya Forstater this afternoon (for Liberty Fund), then appearing as a guest on Ed Dutton’s Jolly Heretic podcast this evening.
I’m not sure how much of my IQ (which Ed has bigged up on his YouTube channel) is going be apparent—given my brain cells will be somewhat used by that point—but one does one’s best.
I sent Ed a review copy of my second novel, Book I of Kingdom of the Wicked. Fingers crossed we talk about that!
Elsewhere, I’ve reviewed Remi Adekoya’s It’s Not About Whiteness, It’s About Wealth for Law & Liberty:
At once witty and fact-filled—but also self-deprecating and sometimes very moving—It’s Not About Whiteness, It’s About Wealth: How the Economics of Race Really Work turns current debates about racism and privilege on their heads (or perhaps their sides).
Do take a look.
Thanks to this busyness, Lorenzo Warby’s next piece won’t go up today, but never fear, it will be published on Sunday. In the interim, the rest of his series is available here.
There’s plenty to chew on.
EDITED TO ADD: the recording of the live-to-air broadcast with Ed Dutton is out from behind the paywall for 48 hours. I’ve linked it in the above post to replace the dead YouTube link, and it’s also available here.
Ed is excellent. As a member of his audience, I’ll say his audience isn’t so excellent. Good luck!
Group differences in IQ explain wealth differences better than most other theories.
